Life Drawing is a documentary film that explores the history of art education in modern China through three generations of artists in one family. Qian, the youngest generation and the film's narrator, smoothly weaves together images and interviews with her parents and grandparents, reflecting on their artistic motivations amidst political and financial challenges. On her journey of self-discovery, Qian highlights the importance of artistic freedom and personal truth, which ultimately led her to the United States to pursue her MFA.
